I had some wood delivered last year that was generally wet, unseasoned, and soft. Pines and poplar, I believe. I had requested the wood from a local guy who delivered this stove wood when I was not home and after a long heated argument about the quality of the wood, he would not take it back. Needless to say we had a bitch of a time getting this green wood to burn. What type of wood do you sell? Maple, hickory, ash, oak? Is it seasoned? How much per ¼ or ½ cord? Delivery charges to Quincy Ma? Could I pick it up? Cut to length, my stove can take just under 18 pieces. We are not nit pickers, but after being ripped off last year with our first purchase of wood And the excitement of our new stove tarnished and the tough times we (especially my wife) had burning through out the winter. We ran out of wood and got a cord delivered from a local supplier, unfortunately, the wood is not very dry and my wife is having a hard time keeping it lit. You could have easily dumped the wood near our bulkhead door but instead you stacked it and covered it and put padding on the ground before you stacked the wood. I purchased your wood rack and the Woodhaven cover and NEVER expected the quality in either of the two that you delivered. They are very, very nice. You put the rack on my deck and I still cant figure out why I simply did not ask you to put it there in the first place, and stack the wood on it at the same time. I was so busy trying to figure where outside to put the wood that I settled for my basement and incredibly did not even think of the deck. Up and down basement stairs to retrieve wood would of been a very exhausting process and you solved that for me as well by simply leaving it on the deck Guess what ? That's where the wood will now be stored right where you left the rack, on my deck... The wood cut is perfect. the 2 enormous bags of kindling you left is fantastic. For this type of service and quality I do NOT have to look anywhere else for wood because I will now only buy from you. The check will be on its way to you on MONDAY as promised. Now that I know what I can expect from you in service I would like another 1/4 cord of the same delivered next week stacked in the same place completely covered. You may add more to the rack if there is room on it. I will retrieve from this pile throughout the winter and will top of the rack as we go along. I just need it stacked and covered to keep it dry. While we were unloading this firewood delivery for Mr John Di.. that he just purchased, During back and forth conversation's, John Di.. told me, that he was purchasing his firewood from a local part-time firewood dealer..... Etc...Etc....but his full-time job was an inspector with the State of New Hampshire, Bureau of Weights and Measures ....Etc...Etc.. . I asked John Di.. who is this person ? I was now getting more curious on who this person might be, since I knew some of the people at weights and measures anyways. John Di.. replied, His name is Mr Young, I replied, you mean Kevin Young!! John Di.. replied Yes, Do you know him? I replied, Sure!, we all know Kevin Young, but I never knew he was in the firewood business. I thought to myself,what a conflict of interest that is. Furthermore, I often wondered who would investigate Kevin Young's firewood business if there was a consumer complaint. Oh Well !! One thing for sure, you never know who's turf you are stepping on. That goes to show you, that better quality means everything to a consumer even though you are the # 1 investigator with the NH Dept of Weights and Measures and also a part time firewood dealer all at the same time.
